Want to change your look from ceremony to reception without having to buy a second dress? At Nutmeg we design stunning accessories to match our brides gowns. In this blog we will show you a few simple ways to completely transform your look and hopefully spark some unique ideas for your own bespoke gown!
Our collection gown 'Jade' is a sleek champagne satin gown with an intricate 3D flower appliqué on the train. Many brides love the elegant simplicity of a strapless gown however if you, like many, wish to change look throughout the day, here are a few creative styling options!
For the first look we designed silky chiffon top, with a guipure lace neckline, balloon sleeves and tight lace cuffs. This instantly romanticises the look, softening the structure of the lines and providing cover for the shoulders and arms. Many brides prefer a more modest look for their ceremonies. This is removable from the waistband, held together with 3 Swarovski buttons for a bit of sparkle!
Look two is a little more edgy, we absolutely love capes at Nutmeg! It is a stunning alternative to the more traditional veil and will transform any dress. Capes have quite a regal feel, reminiscent of glamorous Queens of medieval times. For this cape design we used the same appliqués as on the train to create this dramatic 3D flower shoulder piece. The main body of the cape is made from carefully gathered silk tulle with a long flowing train for extra drama!
The last accessory will completely alter the silhouette of your gown, turning a sleek fishtail into a fairy tail dream! This full bodied organza train we call 'Lily' was made with over 20m of fabric, carefully box pleated into a slim waistband and covered in stunning 3D flowers made from organza and lace. All the flowers were hand placed and stitched on. Ideal for the perfect princess look during the day and separate party look for the reception!
