Rachel's gown story is one of elegant simplicity. She got married mid October in the beautiful setting of her home town of Kirton, Suffock. Her ceremony was in the local church, St Mary and St Martin, with her reception held in Dove Barn, with much of the decor lovingly hand made and crafted. It was to be a relaxed, intimate wedding & she wanted a gown that would fit the personal feel of the day. Something unique, that reflected her own creativity and sense of style.
The Design
Rachel came to her initial consultation with lots of inspiration ideas, many of which combined soft flowing fabrics and light laces with more relaxed fitting gowns. She also wished to incorporate a delicate vintage Maltese band, handmade by her grandma into the design.
Together we came up with a few designs before she decided upon combining a lace illusion neckline, sweetheart bodice and beautiful box pleat skirt.
Throughout the mock up process we experimented with a few different design elements, perfecting her neckline and sleeve dimensions to suit the gown style and her proportions.
We simply adore the loose t-shirt style sleeve she went for & the combination of the high scooped neckline and low V-back. Finished off perfectly with small cover buttons, made from matching crepe and lace.

Fabric Selection
Her fabrics combined a luxurious silk crepe with a delicate Chantilly lace bodice, which emulated the romantic feel of the design and day. The crepe worked perfectly holding the structure of the pleats whilst providing the soft flowing drape Rachel had wanted. The elegant column style skirt complimented her figure, with a mid length train adding extra drama to the back of the dress!
On the day she looked flawless styling her gown with a soft silk veil and fresh flowers!
